Emphasizing proper breathing, correct spinal and pelvic alignment, and complete concentration on smooth flowing movement you become aware of how your body feels and how to control its movement. No other exercise system is as gentle to your body while giving it a challenging workout. Modifications to the exercises allow for a range of difficulty from beginner to more advanced.
Over the past 20 years a growing body of scientific literature has started to provide evidence that Pilates can reduce pain, improve functional movement, improve posture and fine tune trunk flexibility and lower and upper limb range of movement.
