Lindsay Lessard

M.OMSc, BSc. HKin, Osteopathic Manual Practitioner

Lindsay graduated from the four year program at the Canadian Academy of Osteopathy in 2021 with a Master in practice of Osteopathic Manipulative Sciences (M.OMSc). During her osteopathic studies Lindsay was presented with the Award of Merit for outstanding academic achievement. Following graduation Lindsay started her practice ‘Lessard Osteopathy’ and her approach to treatment follows the core osteopathic principles of viewing the body as a collective unit and that the body has the ability to self heal and self regulate. Lindsay utilizes these principles through treatment by addressing structural dysfunctions to restore proper body mechanics, nerve impulses, and the circulation of blood flow and lymphatics. Prior to her osteopathic studies, Lindsay graduated from St. Francis Xavier University in 2016 with a Bachelor of Science in Human Kinetics and a minor in Biology. Upon graduation, she was inducted into the President’s Circle of Young Alumni which is granted to students in recognition of their contribution to student life and academic achievement. While at StFX Lindsay was a member and captain of the women’s basketball team which then led her to Europe where she played professionally. While overseas she volunteered at a local hospital in the rehabilitation center working with patients recovering from traumatic brain injuries and coping with neuromuscular disorders.

In her free time Lindsay enjoys being outdoors, working out, and spending time with her friends and family, especially her niece and nephew.
